Gong Immersion: A Healing Sound Bath Experience

Why I Am Hosting This Gong Immersion
A gong immersion is more than a sound bath. It is a full nervous system reset, a chance to stop holding everything for a little while. Here is the personal reason I brought it to my Virginia Beach space, and what to expect if you come.
I will be honest with you. I am very sensitive to the energy of a room. For most of my life, that has meant I rarely relax in group settings. Even in a sound bath, the one place you are supposed to let go, I would lie there quietly holding everyone else's energy instead of releasing my own. So when I tell you what happened more than four years ago, know that it surprised me as much as anyone.
The first time I truly let go
More than four years ago, I attended a gong immersion led by a practitioner named Jarek. I did not expect much. I settled in the way I always do, half on guard.
And then something shifted. For the first time in a long time, I felt safe enough to surrender. The sound moved through me and I stopped bracing. I stopped managing the room. I simply let myself be held.
That experience stayed with me. Jarek works intuitively, reading the collective energy of the room and meeting it with sound, and I have invited him to every retreat I have hosted since. When I finally opened my own space here in Virginia Beach, I knew one of the first things I wanted to offer was this gong immersion experience that had helped me so much.
What a gong immersion actually is
People hear sound bath and picture background music. It is so much more than that. A gong immersion is a full experience for your body and your energy. You lie down, get comfortable, and let waves of sound wash over you. The vibrations do something words cannot. They gently move you out of the busy, thinking part of your mind and into the deep rest your nervous system has been asking for.

Simple comforts like cushions and candlelight help your body feel safe enough to soften.
Many people describe it as the most relaxed they have felt in years. Some drift into a dreamlike state. Some feel emotion rise and release. There is no wrong way to experience it. Your only job is to receive.
This is the same thread that runs through all of my work. Whether it is a reading, a Medical Intuitive session , or an evening of sound, the purpose is always the same, to help you come home to yourself. The doorway changes. The purpose never does.
Why I wanted this in our space
I did not want this to be something you drive far for, or experience only once a year at a retreat. I wanted it here, close, in a space that feels safe and warm, so you can come back to it whenever you need to reset. My Virginia Beach sanctuary was created with that intention, that every service is a doorway into a deeper relationship with yourself.

A dedicated space lets you return to the same feeling of safety again and again.
Rest is not a luxury. It is how we heal. And in a season that asks so much of all of us, a couple of hours of true stillness can change your whole week. This is why the gong immersion is part of my events and retreats calendar , not a one time experience, so you can weave this kind of rest into your life.
Who it is for
If you have never done anything like this, you are exactly who I am thinking of. You do not need any experience, any special ability, or any belief system. You just need to show up and lie down. Your body already knows how to respond to sound and stillness.
And if you are someone like me, sensitive, always holding space for others, this may be the rare evening where someone holds it for you. That energy is a natural companion to the abundance and gratitude of this season . You may notice old tension melting, insights arriving quietly, or simply a deep sense of being supported.
This kind of work sits within a long, respected tradition of body, mind, and spirit practices, the same tradition explored for decades at Edgar Cayce's A.R.E. here in Virginia Beach, where I teach. The gong immersion is one more way to honor that lineage while meeting the very real needs of your modern nervous system.
Come rest with us
If your body just exhaled a little reading this, that is your answer. You can see the next gong immersion on the events calendar and save your spot. Come as you are, bring a friend if you like, and let yourself be held for a while.
If you feel called to go even deeper after a group experience, you can also explore a one to one private session with me. Whether through sound, intuitive guidance, or medical intuitive work, every offering is simply another doorway home to yourself.
I cannot wait to share this with you.
With love,
Nancy
